Acupuncture is a traditional oriental medical therapy that has a history of over 2,000 years. It is indicated for more than 100 diseases, and its efficacy for many of these diseases has been officially recognized by the World Health Organization. In recent years, research and education regarding acupuncture and moxibustion have been conducted at educational institutions such as Harvard University in the United States, and acupuncture treatment has been garnering attention worldwide. Why Acupuncture?

  • No Side Effects
  • Root-Cause Treatment

Acupuncture has two characteristics: there is no risk of side effects and it can treat the underlying causes of a disease. In recent years, damage to health caused by medications has become a serious problem. Long-term medication use places a burden on organs such as the liver, sometimes causing serious side effects. Problems associated with the after-effects of surgical operations are becoming more serious. Therefore, treating the root cause, which not only results in the treatment of symptoms but also eliminates the underlying cause of the condition, is important and is a possibility with acupuncture. As acupuncture causes no side effects or after-effects, it is a highly evaluated form of alternative medical treatment.
Acupuncture also offers cosmetic effects. It promotes natural anti-aging, facial rejuvenation, and natural amelioration of internal organ function, such that the body can be beautified from the core by detoxing the body without the use of chemicals. Because acupuncture is a root-cause treatment with no side effects, I believe that it is the best treatment method.

How Acupuncture Works?

  • Flow and Hormonal Manipulation
  • 2000 Years of Evidence

The body has two types of flow: blood and qi. According to oriental medical theory, sickness and injuries develop due to the stagnation of these flows. Acupuncture treatment uses specialized needles that are thinner than human hair to regulate the flows and improve the physical condition of patients. It also regulates the secretion of hormones using specific points within the body to relieve symptoms. For example, when treating pain, brain stimulation promotes analgesic hormones such as endorphins and enkephalins, and when treating infertility or depression, it can regulate the amounts of secreted sex or adrenal hormones, respectively. Although the mechanism of acupuncture has not yet been scientifically elucidated, there is a reason that this treatment method has remained in existence for over 2,000 years.

FAQ

  • Q1.Can I undergo acupuncture treatment while taking medication?

As acupuncture and moxibustion treatment does not use any type of medicine, taking medication is not a problem. You can also safely undergo acupuncture treatment during pregnancy or menstruation.

  • Q2.Does acupuncture hurt?

Because the needle is thinner than human hair, there is generally no pain. Depending on the part of the body, stimulation similar to the feeling of being bitten by a mosquito may be experienced, but most people do not mind this. Furthermore, although there may be a sense of a “reverberation” that is peculiar to acupuncture, please be assured that it is a phenomenon that indicates a very good therapeutic effect.

  • Q3.Does acupuncture leave any mark?

As the needles are very thin, they do not leave any mark. However, in rare cases, minor capillary bleeding may occur, and bruises can develop on the skin. The bruises will disappear in one to two weeks, so there is no need for concern.

  • Q4.Are disposable needles used?

The needles are disposable, so there is no risk of infection.

  • Q5.How frequently do I need to visit the clinic?

The number of visits differs for each patient based on their symptoms. Generally, a higher degree of efficacy can be expected by visiting the clinic as frequently as possible. However, as we understand that each patient has different time and financial constraints. Therefore, we propose treatment plans that match the lifestyle of each patient.

  • Q6.What kind of clothes should I wear when I go to the clinic?

As special clothing is prepared for patients, please come in your normal clothing.

  • Q7.Is there parking space available?
